Oily/Acne Prone Skin - Men and anyone with oily or acne prone skin love this product. Very light, no oil, and still hydrating. What’s not to like!!! One of the best moisturizers on the market for oily skin, in my opinion. Good for use with a Vitamin C serum, and can be used under another moisturizer or sunscreen.

Oily/Acne Prone/Budget Saver - This is an excellent very light moisturizer that provides hydration without aggravating oiliness or acne.

This is a perfect weight, lightly scented (natural) moisturizer with natural antioxidants.

Very Dry Skin - The best way to describe this is like La Mer without the price tag. Our patients love this product. Very emollient without being greasy. For the driest skins.

Very Dry/Sensitive/Budget Saver - In a relatively new category of “barrier” creams, this uses several different lipids called ceramids with hyaluronic acid to lock the moisture in. Great for eczema and psoriasis. Barrier creams are formulated to prevent the natural moisture loss through skin. Relevant only if you are very dry or eczema prone.

Very Dry/Sensitive/Budget Saver - Free of dyes, fragrances, lanolin, parabens, formaldehyde, etc. Great for eczema. They also make a lotion that is lighter if this is just too heavy for you.

Normal/Combination/Budget Saver - Known and beloved by many, this drugstore product remains a reliable product. The cream is heavier and better for dry skin, but the lotion is often preferred because it’s lighter.

Normal/Combination Skin - This lightweight, pore-minimizing moisturizer is for normal or combination skin. A nice, light basic moisturizer. Contains marine and plant extracts in small amounts. This is perfect if you are about 30 with normal or combination skin or older with slightly oily skin.

Very Dry Skin/Organic - This rich moisturizer contains blueberry extract as an antioxidant and soy which has some estrogenic effects (helps plump the skin). Great for extremely dry skin. Expensive - but you don't need much.

Dry Skin - This is a rich and restorative moisturizer that is perfect for use on dry skin. Good for all but the most sensitive. With nutrient-rich Brazilian sea-algae, oils of grape seed, rose hip, and macadamia. Good for high altitudes and cold or dry climates.

Dry/Post Menopausal Skin - This nondescript name hides quite a good product. Contains soy which is nice for post menopausal women not on HRT. Also contains Vitamin E, silymarin and green tea extract (all antioxidants) plus grapeseed, sunflower and sesame oils in small amounts. Specially formulated for post menopausal skin to combat collagen breakdown and moisture loss. If you have very dry skin, this may not be enough.

Normal/Combination - This is a light oil-free moisturizer that provides good hydration without aggravating oiliness. Is slightly more scented than some products. Contains an algae extract that I find very calming if my skin is irritated. I’m not aware of any science behind the use of algae, but it works to soothe my skin.

An extra layer of moisture that goes under your moisturizer for severely dry skin.

Dry Skin/Organic - This organic moisturizer is good for drier skin. The fragrance is good enough to eat, but it doesn't overpower or stay too long. Expensive, but it's concentrated, and you don't need to use a lot.

Normal/Combination/Organic - This is a perfect weight, lightly and naturally scented, with natural antioxidants. Works well with skin that can be a bit oilier than normal. Eminence also makes the Sugar Plum Whip Moisturizer, which is richer than this. Expensive, but you don't need to use a lot.

Body Lotion/Organic - I love this product and use it almost every day. This organic body moisturizer goes on smooth and creamy, but without being too thick or sticky. A great honeydew fragrance that lingers just long enough.

Anti-Aging/Anti-Glycation - A new group in the antiaging arsenal. You’ll see more of these in the coming months and years. A good idea but I think the jury is still out as to how effective these are in the skin of real women rather than a Petri dish. A.G.E. Interrupter is formulated to improve the crepey appearance of mature skin caused by intrinsic aging processes such as glycation. This goes well under Renova at night or you could use it over TNS recovery, for example, in the morning in place of a moisturizer with sunscreen over that.

Glycation occurs when excess glucose molecules stick to collagen and elastin fibers, eventually binding them together and leading to the formation of Advanced Glycation End-products (A.G.E.). Glycated collagen and elastin fibers lose the ability to function normally, and the body cannot break them down and replace them, which may contribute to wrinkling of the skin. This is particularly true in diabetics. It is formulated with 4% blueberry extract, 30% Proxylane, and 0.2% phytosphingosine to help prevent the glycation process in mature skin. Expensive but may be worth it.

Masque/Dry Skin - Extra hydrating masque - use in the evening 5-10 minutes after cleansing and before regular products. Best for very dry skin and winter months.
