Product of the Month for February 2010Now that schools often have a mid-winter break over Presidents Day, many people are taking longer winter vacations for snow sports or to warm sunny places. Don't forget your sun protection! You want to avoid sun damage, wrinkles, brown spots, and sagging skin as you get older. Just check out the 5-star customer reviews at our partner SKinCareRx.com to see how great this sunscreen is. It's a mineral-based sun block, so it uses titanium and zinc oxide to block the sun, rather than a chemical. Women with melasma like this mineral-based block, and some with stubborn melasma use this under the Colorescience powder sunscreen. It has a slight tint to it, so you don't get that "white-out" look. But it absorbs just fine, and is water resistant, too. Plus, at $26, it is not expensive. My husband uses this sunscreen all the time.

MoisturizerReplenish Hydrating CreamFall brings dry skin with central heating and dry air. Time for a good moisturizer. The drug store brands, like Cetaphil, CeraVe, and Vanicream are great. And if you want something a bit more elegant, that goes on very creamy but not heavy or oily, this Replenish Hydrating Cream is great. Many of my patients swear by it. It's more expensive than the drugstore brands, but certainly less than the high-end moisturizers. Price: $45.00
