Product of the Month for May 2011This line of Elta MD sunscreens is relatively new, but my patients love them. And I see from the reviews on SkinCareRx.com, that their users like them, too. This UV Daily SPF 40 Pump is great for UVA as well as UVB, and remember that UVA is thought to cause just as much aging (brown spots, blotchiness, wrinkles, sagging skin) as UVB. I use this sunscreen now myself, because of its UVA and UVB protection but equally because it goes on light and smooth, without a greasy or chalky look or feel. And I like the pump rather than a tube. Some of the really good, high quality daily suncreens with high zinc or titantium are very expensive. At $23.80, this Elta MD sunscreen is much more affordable and is my product of the month for May. Dr. Irwin

Body CareShea Sugar Almond Honey Body ScrubFall brings dry skin with central heating and dry air. Time for a good moisturizer. The drug store brands, like Cetaphil, CeraVe, and Vanicream are great. And if you want something a bit more elegant, that goes on very creamy but not heavy or oily, this Replenish Hydrating Cream is great. Many of my patients swear by it. It's more expensive than the drugstore brands, but certainly less than the high-end moisturizers. Price: $6.99
