Are home LED devices effective?
There really isn’t a lot of quality science/data on these. The studies that I’ve seen are small, not well controlled (pretty subjective), and usually funded by the company making the devices. Maybe not truly impartial? Most of my patients who’ve tried these have not been impressed.
Generally, home use devices are designed to be very low power so as not to cause any harm but………..that also usually means that they don’t have much effect. And they require a certain consistency and months of some time every day, that I’m just not sure is realistic for most busy women.
If money and time are no object, then they may be worth a try.
Hope this helps, Dr. I
