Are ingredients in these products compatible?

Dear Dr. Irwin, I hope you can help with the following. Is Topix replenic CF cream (and serum) compatible with Aveeno ageless vitality night cream, Nia24 skin strengthening complex, skinceuticals CE ferulic and prevage MD? (As in no components are deactivated) I hope you can shed some light on the often compex world of skincare. Thank you in advance,

The bottom line on this one is  there are so many different ingredients in all these products that no one on this earth knows whether these are all truly compatible.  A good rule of thumb is ...... start with the basics (see my article on products) like a cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen.  Once you have a solid base there, then start to add "repair" products.  But add them one at time at least a week apart so if you have a reaction you will know which product is causing it.

Waiting one to three months is even better before adding a new product.  That gives you some time to tell whether the new product is making a difference for you.  For some products like antioxidants the goal is more to prevent further damage from UV radiation.  For those you may not see a difference but I think they are still worth using.  I hope this helps!   Dr. I
