This is kind of long story so I won't go into all the details here.  The short version is that there were and still are several companies who are infringing on Allergan's patent by putting basically the same active ingredient in Latisse in their products.  My understanding is that Allergan is slowly enforcing  their patent rights with these companies.  If the company is using Allergan's patent protected, FDA approved drug, then it may not be in business for long.
