Pretty much!  They are very close since they all are in the same class of medications called retinoids which are vitamin A cousins.  The Differin is a good choice for you if you have oily skin. Remember though you must practice sun protection compulsively if you are using these.  Sunscreen and hats every day and, if you are going to be outdoors a lot, I often advise patients to stop it completely for a sunny vacation, summer, training for a marathon, etc.  These topicals will make you slightly more sun sensitive.  A good option is to increase your topical antioxidants when you decrease your retinoids for the situations mentioned above.  Dr. I
