Facial swelling after laser treatments

Oct 13, 2009
Two days after receiving a limelight treatment at a laser center where I live, I have significant facial swelling (to the point that I cannot go out). Other than ice packs and sleeping in an elevanted position, is there anything I can do to reduce the swelling? The weekend of recovery time I expected isn\'t going to be enough, but I feel pressure to get back to work. Any advice or recommendations?
I'm not sure what a limelight treatment is.  I'm wondering if it's a marketing name given a to a common laser treatment by that particular center?    You already listed two of the most important strategies to reduce swelling.  In addition, it really helps to reduce all salt intake and cheap carbs (anything with white flour and white sugar) for 3-4 days and drink a lot of water.  Hope that helps.  Dr. I
