Is Sunscreen in Moisturzer Enough?Oct 23, 2009 If my moisturizer has SPF, do I need to add a separate suncreen after I put on my moisturizer? This really depends on where you live, the time of year and the things that you do! If you live in Seattle and it's winter, it's probably fine as long as it contains a UVA blocker like zinc, mexoryl, avobenzone with helioplex or titanium. It's really not enough if you have an outdoor occupation, do high altitude sports, run marathons, live in a sunny climate, etc. It's best if your sunscreen is customized to your particular life.
