Radiesse - how long to avoid wine? Where to use it?Feb 04, 2010 Hi Dr irwin. Is it okay to get an injectable filler like Radiesse 3 days AFTER drinking 3 glasses of wine or should I wait? Also, do you like to use Radiesse in he cheek and temple area for volume? Thanks Radiesse is always a tough one for me because I don't use it. I do know some excellent dermatologists and plastic surgeons who do use it and get great results. I know a lot about it but I've just never liked the way it looks in skin. To my eye, it looks great when the face is at rest, but the minute people start to talk, laugh, eat, etc, it looks stiff and slightly wooden to me. Most people probably wouldn't notice though so if you love it, go ahead. I think is looks best in the cheeks. I'd worry that in the temples it might get lumpy. Go to a doctor who is very experienced to get it injected. Wine is fine up until 24 hours before but follow what your doctor tells you! Doctors can differ on this point.
