What is the proper technique for injecting Restylane?Feb 09, 2010 I had Restylane injections in the nasal labial area of my face. After each small injection in the area, my physcian had me open my mouth in order for her to use her thumb and forefinger to "squeeze & shape" what she had injected. Is this a proper and/or common technique? When viewing your video, I did not see you do anything like this after injecting the Juvederm. You bring up a really good point! Which is that even among expert injectors, there are some differences in technique. As long as you are getting an excellent result, and she's observing all the safety precautions, then small variations in injection technique aren't important. Personally, I can get good placement without doing that and I think it may make the experience less comfortable. If you are reasonably comfortable and getting good results, your doctor's way sounds fine! Dr. I Posted in Restylane
