What products are safe in pregnancy?Jun 11, 2010 Hi – I’m trying to get pregnant. I stopped using my Retin A/Renova/tretinoin cream, but what about Vitamin C serums. Is that ok? What product should I discontinue or not use and what can I replace them with? Thanks!
When you're pregnant or actively trying, it's best to stick with tried and true natural ingredients. So Vitamin C serums are fine because Vitamin C is known to be safe in pregnancy in reasonable doses. In a similar vein, I often recommend glycolic products during pregancy because it's derived from a natural sugar. Look at the Eminence or Juice Beauty organic lines. You may find some of their products helpful. Dr. I |
