What's the best skin care at age 23?Oct 14, 2011 Hi Dr Irwin! I am 23 years old and have good skin, but am wondering what products I should be using to keep it healthy. I have really fair skin and sunscreen is my best friend, so I already have that covered. I currently use Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer. Are there better quality products I should be using to prevent my skin from aging? Thanks!!!
I love that you're thinking about this because it's so much easier to prevent wrinkles, blotchiness, sagging etc. than it is to prevent it! And, I love that you are using sunscreen on your face daily. Some things to think about. With your sunscreen, make sure it contains at least 5-10% zinc or titanium or 3% avobenzone or mexoryl so you have good UVA coverage. Also, try to include your neck, chest, and hands in your daily use. Your cleanser and moisturizer are fine with the Cetaphil. Consider adding a good antioxidant in the morning under your sunscreen like the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF gel (new and much easier to use than the serums). Dr. I |
