Which moisturizers are good?Sep 14, 2011 In your recent article "Dr. Irwin's Skin Care Regimen" you never mentioned if you use a night time moisturizer, you went straight to eye products after you use prescription Renova vitamin A cream. I use Tazorac but always use both an eye cream and then moisturizer last. I was wondering what moisturizer you use if any?
Oops - I need to fix that don't I. And I need to update the products generally - I'll do that in Sept-Oct. Thanks for letting me know. I do use a moisturizer but I vary it summer to winter and by climate. In the winter in Seattle, I usually use the Bluberry Soy Organic Moisturzer by Eminnence - it's midweight but good for dryer skin types too. I love the way it smells. I put sunscreen over that. If you're really dry, try the Vivite Replenishing Hydrating or just plain Cetaphil cream or Vanicream. Here is more product info. Sometimes in the summer I just use the sunscreen because it has a fairly moisturizing base. I've switched to the new SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion Universal Tint - a great new sunscreen but not if you have oily skin. Almost everyone I know (several hundred), including patients, has really liked this product. If I'm in the tropics (rare and I wish!), I'll use the SkinCeuticals B5 gel - very light - good for oily skin and acne too. Dr. I |
