Which order is the best for products?May 04, 2010 Hi Dr. Irwin
You recommend that you use Retin A after your moisturizer. Does the Vitamin A penetrate the skin as well as it would if you used it first and can you use a Vitamin C moisturizer in combination with the Retin A? I was also wondering if it was safe to use the Retin A around the eye area?
Thanks
Yes with a couple of adjustments! You can't use a Retin A gel over a moisturizer but it works with the creams. Put a light layer of moisturizer on - WAIT 10 minutes - and then apply the Retin A/Renova/tretinoin. It works fine and is much less irritating. It's also fine to use your Retin A on your crow's feet area. Don't put it on the eyelid skin itself. Use your Vitamin C serum in the morning. Hope this helps! Dr. I |
