Dr. Brandith Irwin, a nationally known skin expert and board certified dermatologist says the appearance of people's complexions reveals a lot about their general health. "Aside from when someone has sun damage, which makes it harder to see the underlying health of the skin, I can look at someone and tell if their nutrition is optimal or not."
I question this...if you looked at my skin you might think my nutrition sucks...I have psoriasis...I eat healthy but my skin doesn't necessarily reflect that. I took slight offense to your statement about being able to tell if a person's nutrition is optimal or not. Check out NPF's forum on Facebook...a lot of us talk about diet...we constantly watch it. Just saying.......
You are absolutely right. I should have said "in the absence of skin disease" to preface that statement because I agree with you! I also think that the younger someone is the harder it is to tell. Often a 20 year old can get away with eating pizza, coke and candy and still look great because their repair mechanisms are so active! Dr. I
