Acne scarring? What is the best option?

HI, I AM MAKDAD I AM 25 YEARS OLD AND HAVE ACNE SCARS FROM 9 YEARS AND I HAVE OILY BROWN SKIN ON MY FACE GENERALLY ON MY CHEEKS. THAT CAUSES ME A PROBLEM WITH TALKING TO OTHERS AND I FEEL SO BAD BECAUSE NO MEDICATION GIVES A GOOD RESULT. I NEED TO GET RID OF THESE SCARS IN A SAFE WAY. PLEASE HELP ME.

Hi Makdad, this is a frustrating problem, isn’t it? There are lots of good options for acne scarring now but not all of them are available everywhere. Learn more information on acne scars in general and also read about Fraxel lasers and carbon dioxide lasers. And you’re right, creams, etc. can help control acne itself, but they don’t help with scars.

I think the biggest problem though is finding a well trained, reputable dermatologist or plastic surgeon to help you because there are many undertrained or sometimes just unethical people advertising these services. Be very careful! Learn How to Find a Good Dermatologist.

Hope this helps,  Dr. B I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
