Home Use Laser for Wrinkles

How effective are the home-use photo-rejuvenation devices (like Omnilux New-U, DPL System, and LightStim) for wrinkles and hyperpigmentation? Worth the money?

I wish I had a definative answer for you. The science behind all these products is sketchy.  And, it’s hard to know if their before and afters are real  – not retouched.  None of them did controlled trials in real humans that compared different technologies or did split face studies in a reasonable number of patients. I think the jury is still out but if I really wanted to try one, I’d purchase the Omnilux.  I’m thinking when I get back from vacation, we’ll purchase several of these and test them in my office.  Dr. I

One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
