How do I choose the international doctors on the recommended list?

How did you choose the doctors who are on your list of recommended international dermatologists? I am an American working in Iraq (who is also your patient) and was stunned to see 2 doctors in Iraq on your list. There has been a huge brain drain here. Most of the best doctors have relocated. What made you choose these doctors as well as the others?

First –  for those who don’t realize it – there is a list (not perfect of course) of both Board Certified U.S. and International dermatologists who do a significant amount of aesthetic dermatology.  Board certification is different in each country so the international docs may or may not be.   Of course, there is no guarantee that you, as an individual, will have a good experience with a particular doctor.

U.S. Guide

International Guide

With the U.S. dermatologists, some of them I know personally and have been to their offices, some I know from seeing them at meetings, either speaking or attending, and from their reputation.  Some come from patients of mine who lived in other cities and been patients of these doctors.

With the international dermatologists its more difficult clearly.   Some of my patients have lived all over the globe and were patients of a few of the doctors.  Most are from the the IMCAS meeting I attend every year in Paris.  Many were speakers and some were attendees.  My reasoning is that at least you’ll know that doctor is learning and trying to stay up with information by attending internationally respected meetings.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
