How to control flushing with rosacea.

Hi I am 26 year old male with what I was told I have Rosacea. My cheek area is like sunburned and I do not have any broken capillaries or pimples there. I have tried everything but nothing seems to help with getting rid of the redness. Some facial washes make it worse then better. Any suggestions for a facial wash and a moisturizer Thanks

I’m hoping that you’re working with a dermatologist, so if not, please do seek care.

Many patients with rosacea also have problems with irritation from products and then the irritation seems to aggravate the rosacea more.   Be sure to try products only one at the time about a week apart so you can tell which are irritating you.

Here are some gentle products to try.   The sensitive skin cleanser I like the best right now is from SkinMedica – called Sensitive Skin Cleanser –  we will have it up on our site in about a week.   You might also try Cerave wash, if you haven’t already.  Also try the more chemical free moisturizers like this one.

IPL – don’t bother with a spa because their equipment is too weak – really helps with this.  Usually 3-5 treatments are needed.   More info here.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
