Is 22 too early to start a vitamin C serum?

Hi Dr.Irwin you have a great healthy skin I am 22 years old I have a fine healthy skin because I do exercise and eat organic food I also used vichy cleaners for combination skin and avene moisturizer and they are bretty good ,and i would like to ask you if I can use vitamin c serum or it's too early for me Thank you

Kudos to you for taking good care of yourself!!   I think it’s never too early to start a vitamin C serum.  As one of the best antioxidants when it’s in a high quality serum form, it can only help over time, just like regular sunscreen use.

You don’t need, at 22, one that super charged and expensive.  Just go for a good quality 10-20% ascorbic acid serum like this one.   If it itches, burns or causes irritation, be sure to return it.

One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
