Is there a way to blend an upper eyelid scar better?

Hi Dr. Irwin, I recently read your book. I was very impressed with the information provided. I do have one question that I'd like your opinion on. I had upper eyelid surgery a year old. Although the incision line is white and flattened, it's more noticeable than I expected. I'm wondering if you think a particular type of laser treatment on the upper eyelid could help improve the scar appearance. I'm 37 and my goal is to improve the incision line appearance (any skin tightening, extra would only be a bonus, but not a priority). Thank you

Thank you for the compliment!  If you’re 37, you probably have good elasticity of your skin so further tightening could cause problems.  Your surgeon might need to help you with this decision.  Fraxel laser on the upper lids may be your best choice because it would blend the scar without causing much tightening.  This is a situation where seeing your surgeon and then getting a second opinion would be helpful.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
