Itching and darkening of the vaginal skin.

Im 24 yrs Indian fair girl, sum time back due vaginal itching and scratches outer area of vagina and sum of inner thighs has bcome dry and very dark than before what it use to be. Now I dnt have itching issue but the colour is too dark comparatively. Im worried and conscious about . I have no sexlife but i wud b married soon help me get the colour back to how it was before.?

I’m glad you wrote because this sounds very uncomfortable!   First…..itching almost always causes scratching …..and it’s the irritation from the scratching that usually causes the skin to darken (hyperpigment)

I really think you need to see your doctor if you are having that much vaginal itching.  There are types of infections (these are NOT sexually transmitted) that are caused by our normal bacteria and normal yeasts overgrowing.   For example, for many women, if we take an antibiotic, our normal yeasts will overgrow and cause a lot of itching.  Diabetes can predispose women to vaginal yeast infections.  These are treated easily by a doctor.

Or for example, bath oils, “feminine hygiene products,” and all sorts of creams and lotions used in the vaginal area, may cause itching, irritation and allergies.  It may be you are allergic to a product you may have tried to improve this.  Also, some women are allergic to certain laundry detergents and the “dryer sheets” used in clothes dryers.

I’m hoping you can see your doctor right away and have her/him help you with this.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
