Readers questions re Dermaquest ZinClear & Colorescience Sunscreen

Regarding above - please remember that we are ALL individuals - just because a product works for 99% of all people who've tried it, it doesn't mean you might not be in that 1% who doesn't tolerate it well.
  • Dermaquest ZinClear –  A reader asks why it’s so expensive.   It’s expensive because it contains 18% zinc in a very fine, absorbable formulation.   These are more expensive to make than the white pastes – up to 20% – than you can find in the drugstore.  Sometimes we get what we pay for, but only you can decide if it’s worth it to you.    However…….think how much money you spend on your car each year and then think about how much more time you spend in your skin!
  • Colorscience Mineral Powder Sunscreen –   A reader states he has sensitive skin and reacts to the binding powder that helps hold the minerals together.  That’s possible and I believe him of course.   But……..I also have to say that in years of using it with thousands of patients and blog readers, I’ve only seen one other person with a reaction to which is well below 1%.    Many people with rosacea and sensitive skin use it without problems.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
