Hands down the best laser for scars on the face!

What is the best laser treatment out there for scars on the face?

For deep, noticeable scars:

Hands down, if the scars are deeper, quite noticeable, or irregular, a Fractionated CO2 laser will give the best results. Examples are the DEKA Dot, or the Lumenis Active/Deep FX, or the Fraxel Repair are the most customizable. There are other good ones. How does this technology work? The fractional CO2 laser takes the CO2 laser beam and fractionates, or pixellates that beam into thousands of tiny little shafts of light. These tiny shafts of light penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin. The skin then repairs those tiny shafts by pushing out the old sun damaged skin and replacing it with new skin. I explain more about the procedure, downtime, and other frequently asked questions on Fractionated CO2 lasers in my article here.

For shallow acne scars:

The Fraxel Restore (erbium) could be fine for shallow acne scars or a traumatic scar that’s small or not very visible.  Expect to need 3-10 treatments, depending on the size, shape and depth of the scar. Usually treatments can be done about a month apart.  More on how Fraxel works, results, costs and other common questions on my article here.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
