A good tip from a make up artist regarding covering bruising!
I saw that someone asked for a recommendation for good makeup that will cover bruising and could not see anywhere to answer. I am a makeup artist and have many clients who have various procedures done and I also am getting juvederm in my lips. Dermablend is great for covering bruising. They have stick and cream foundations that are very thick and concealers as well. They are made to cover tattoos and scars so a little goes a long way and covers bruises easily. You can also try correctors which are like concealers but come in different colors to neutralize the bruising then put a little foundation over to blend it in.
Whatever color your bruise is you want a corrector color that is directly across from it on the color wheel.
- For red you would use a green tint,
- for purple or blue you would use yellow and orange.
- Neutralizing your bruise first means you can use less makeup after.
Hopefully this helps! – make up artist.
We also like this Colorscience powder product with 5 different shades in one compact that are color coded for you to help with different shades of blue, red and yellow bruises.
