What do you think of the Jenu and it’s associated products?

Hi Dr. Irwin, I am intrigued by the JeNu:) Have you used it with other eye/lip creams or are the results you've experienced tied directly to the device AND the JeNu products? I am an avid follower of your website/blog and am so grateful for your commitment to sharing the information/science behind effective skin care--thanks! Regards, Jen

Dear Jen – Good questions. I did experiment and tried the Jenu with its products but also with a number of other ones. What I found was that the exact viscosity (roughly how gooey or slippery it is) is important. Too viscous or it absorbs too quickly and the device keeps sort of getting stuck on the skin. Not viscous enough and the device slips around too much.

It’s not that I think their products confer some special magic – I don’t think they do – it’s just that they got the slipperiness and the absorption rate just right for the device. They clearly spent some time on it and the products work well.

What I often do is use my eye cream first and then use the Jenu with their product over it. The extra hydration never hurts around the eye area!!!

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
