Which skincare products are safe to use during pregnancy?

Hello I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant and just purchased the nia 24 strengthening complex and the olay regenerist serum and was wondering if it's safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding as well?

Drugstore, department store, and other non prescription products are not required to do any specific safety testing for pregnancy, as long as they are not using banned ingredients.   Prescription skincare products are different and are assigned pregnancy safety categories.

So………….it’s difficult to know with any certainty the answer to this question.   On the one hand, small amounts are being used, unless you are putting these all over your body.   On the other hand, why worry about it at all, especially the first 3-4 months when all the organs of the baby are being formed?    Consider sticking with all organic products for the first trimester (3 months) at least and eliminating as many chemicals as you can from your skincare and your food.

Hope this helps,  Dr. I

One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
