For normal to oilier skin that is mature
Are the effects of sun damage and lifestyle choices starting to show now in the form of wrinkles, some sagging, maybe brown spots or enlarged blood vessels?
I picked the products in this Kit to give a great basic skin care regimen that won't aggravate oiliness, plus the products that will help to prevent more damage (sunscreens and antioxidants) and products to help repair existing damage (Vitamin A cousin creams).
It may be time to think about using lasers or sound waves to repair any specific skin problems. Check out our Guide to Cosmetic Treatments in our Resources section.
If you're not sure if this is the right regimen for your skin profile, take the Skin Care Test.

I chose these products for a good basic regimen that will not promote oil and will focus on preventing and repairing sun damage. This Kit gives you an alpha-hydroxy cleanser that is perfect for skin that is normal to oily but with very little acne, a powerful antioxidant with polyphenols, a moisturizer that won't aggravate oiliness, a retinol complex for repair, and a non-clogging powder sunscreen.
It's best to use these products together in a regimen, but you can also browse through the individual products below. |

Anti-Aging and Wrinkle Repair
Topix
Replenix Cream
Antioxidant/Sensitive Skin - This is a powerful antioxidant containing 90% polyphenol extracts of green tea. It is gentle and good for all but the most sensitive skin. Many of our patients who find the serums with Vitamin C too irritating, can use this product without problems. This cream version is best for normal to dry skin. Use the Gel if you are oily. Good for easily irritated, sensitive skin.

Moisturizer
Cellex-C
Sea-Silk Oil-Free Moisturizer
Normal/Combination - This is a light oil-free moisturizer that provides good hydration without aggravating oiliness. Is slightly more scented than some products. Contains an algae extract that I find very calming if my skin is irritated. I’m not aware of any science behind the use of algae, but it works to soothe my skin.

Sunscreen/Oil Control and Acne Care
Colorescience
SunForgettable Powder SPF 30 - All Clear
Daily/Water/Sports/Melasma - This is a great invention, and I use it all the time. It comes in a small tube, with a self-contained brush. You just shake the powder down, and brush on the powder. The powder stays on your skin, and the high zinc and titanium content gives you great UVA and UVB blocking. Great for a humid climate (or oily skin), because it goes on dry and leaves no oily, greasy sheen. Expensive, but worth it. Layer it over a sunscreen lotion for maximum protection at altitude or in intense sun.

Anti-Aging and Wrinkle Repair/Oil Control and Acne Care
Skin Medica
Retinol Complex
Retinol/Vitamin A Cousin - This retinol also has vitamin E in a light base that will not clog pores and is still compatible with moisturizers and sunscreens. Retinols are another type of repair cream that have science behind them. They build collagen and normalize sun damaged keratinocytes (skin cells). And if this product irritates your skin a little, try applying your moisturizer first, then wait 10-20 minutes, then apply this.
