People with oily skin often hate to apply sunscreen. Many of you don't want to make your skin look any oilier than it already is.

The relatively new powder sunscreens have been a godsend to my patients with oily skin.  You brush on the powder, and there is no goo, no oily sheen.  The powder stays on well, and does not clog your pores compared to some lotions.

The Colorescience Powder is expensive, I know.  But I have used it myself for several years, and have talked to many patients who have used it.  It really works.

SunForgettable Powder SPF 30 - All Clear

$50.00

This is a great invention, and I use it all the time. It comes in a small tube, with a self-contained brush. You just shake the powder down, and brush on the powder. The powder stays on your skin, and the high zinc and titanium content gives you great UVA and UVB blocking. Great for a humid climate (or oily skin), because it goes on dry and leaves no oily, greasy sheen. Expensive, but worth it. Layer it over a sunscreen lotion for maximum protection at altitude or in intense sun.
