Father’s Day Ideas

My male patients range from those who scoff at skin care and will barely use a moisturizer, to those who really take care of their skin and use the whole range of tools, from treatments to repair products to covers like the Colorescience Mineral Corrector Palette (covers acne and shaving cuts).

But here are some products men generally like and use:

Skinceuticals Hydrating B5 Gel moisturizer: comes in a small glass jar with a dropper, so it looks like a science product from the lab.  The gel goes on very smooth and light, with no shine.  Good for oily skin also.

Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46: a small pump container with a high-quality sunscreen that also goes on with minimal shine or oily feeling.

Powder Sunscreen: golfers, fishermen, boaters like the powder sunscreens because they just brush them on.  Hands stay dry.

Sunscreens prevent skin cancers as well as dry, leathery, and brown-spotted skin!

And last, if they like their Sonicare toothbrush, they might use the Clarisonic Mia to clean their faces.

Happy Father’s Day!

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
