Irritated by a Skin Care Product?
Irritation from products can be as obvious as hives or as subtle as a little dryness and flaking that just doesn’t go away. If a product itches, burns, or stings for longer than a minute or two, you are either irritated by it or allergic to it. If it causes redness, a rash, an increase in fine lines, or persistent flaking, the same is true.
The best way to find out is to stop all products except a gentle cleanser and moisturizer for at least a week. If you are better, try adding skin care products back one at time a week apart so you can tell which one is causing the problem.
