Why Lasers and Medi-Spas Usually Don't Mix

Feb 05, 2009

Lasers are expensive, high tech devices. The better lasers (the ones that are powerful and can be customized for you) are complicated. Medi-spas often are owned by investors who then hire staff. That staff can be of variable quality and can turn over frequently.

Do you really want someone who's probably gone to a 1-2 day company training course, and who may have little or no physician supervision, working on your face? Take the time to research, don't be sucked in by "specials," and find a dermatologist who's worked in the area for a long time and is committed to the community and excellence.
