Beautiful Skin on Your Body for Summer

Exfoliate your whole body – head to toe – once to twice a week.  Doesn’t matter whether it’s a wash cloth, a scrub, or gentle brush.

Soap only groin, armpits, head & neck. You don’t need soap on the rest of you, unless you get really sweaty and smelly, and it just dries your skin out.   Use full body lotion every single day after your bath or shower –  I love the organic Eminence body products or other organics for this.

Use a body lotion with an alpha or beta or hydroxy acid in it once or twice a week at night also –  Think products like the Skinceuticals Body Retexturing Treatment or Amlactin (can go on a bit sticky but very affordable and available at most good drugstores), especially on the lower legs.

Get a great body make-up – this works wonders in a pinch.  I love Tantalizer by Lorac.   Mix it with your body lotion depending on the effect you want for a little coverage and shimmer on the arms, legs, décolletage, etc.   Can hide a lot!

Find a self tanner you love –  gives you a glow with no sun damage.  Be careful over brown spots, because they pick up more of the self-tanner and can look more obvious:  use the self tanner – then take a Q-tip and rub off over the brown spot if you need to. I like the Sun Laboratories Self Tanners.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
