Why is it tough to enjoy the holidays? Is it because we get over booked, tired, and over stimulated on all fronts?
Turns out the saying no at the right moments might be one of the best things we do. These thoughts may help.
- You can’t truly help people in important ways if you are too exhausted from doing many small things that don’t really matter.
- Remember that people gain confidence and skills from doing things that are hard for them. They don’t have that opportunity if you always step in.
- No one will ever say to you ‘please stop doing so much for me.’ You have to give permission to yourself for that.
It’s really okay to take a deep breath, go for a walk, go to a yoga class, book lunch with a friend or anything else that might make the holidays extra wonderful!
