Preventing Aging with Renova (tretinoin)

Anything that builds collagen will OVER TIME  help to prevent skin aging in the form of wrinkles and loss of elasticity (sagging).   So yes!  It makes sense to start it early (assuming you tolerate it well) and keep using it forever.

Tretinoin (Renova) is STILL the gold standard in anti-aging skin care products.  If you use tretinoin, you must, must, must use it with sunscreen (SPF 30 with at least 10% zinc or titanium) every single morning!   Remember though, it won’t help with sagging and wrinkling due to loss of fat and bone.  That loss of volume can be replaced either with Sculptra or fillers like the Juvederm/Restylane family of hyaluronics.

A staff member pointed out a very good piece by a blogger for those who are thinking about Botox for the first time.  This blogger did a very good job!  10 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Got Botox.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
