Dr. Brandith Irwin:
Welcome to SkinTour. I’m Dr. Brandith Irwin. Our goal is to provide you with expert advice on skincare and cosmetic dermatology. So this segment is on how to find an expert injector.  This is difficult especially if you’ve moved to a new city and you don’t know people it can be tough. So how do you go about it? I have five ideas for you. The first idea is talk to your existing doctors. Now that’s hard when you’ve moved, but when you go to get that first primary care appointment, ask that doctor who are the people in this area who do and then ask them whatever it is your interested in. Laser work, or injectables or whatever. And the other thing you can do is don’t just ask your primary care doctor ask your OBGYN. She may know all sorts of people that are good at it. So ask several different doctors. The second thing is you can go our site and our resource section that gives you expert cosmetic dermatologists all over the country. Hopefully there is one near you.

Do that next. Then the third thing you can do it go to the American Academy of Dermatology site, which is  Again that’s and on that site find board-certified dermatologists in your area and pick 3 or 4 of them and look at their website. Make sure that they do cosmetic dermatology. Some dermatologists only do medical derm and others do both. Or everything. And some just do cosmetic so check their website and make sure they look like their experienced and have been in business for awhile.

Lastly, ask your friends. But first look at your friend and make sure that you really like the way they look because even with expert injectors there will be a difference in the way they do things. Some doctors may like that the look of bigger lips, other may like no movement at all in the forehead. Um, it really depends on the look and some like a very natural look. That’s kind of the style that I prefer, but I think that as long as you’re friend looks you know that way that you, that looks natural to you and is something that you would like then your friend’s a good resource to ask them where they go. And so I hope you enjoy your time on SkinTour and please don’t hesitate to see our resource section on how to find an expert injector in your area.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes!
