A question about a comment on nutrition.

Dr. Brandith Irwin, a nationally known skin expert and board certified dermatologist says the appearance of people's complexions reveals a lot about their general health. "Aside from when someone has sun damage, which makes it harder to see the underlying health of the skin, I can look at someone and tell if their nutrition is optimal or not." I question this...if you looked at my skin you might think my nutrition sucks...I have psoriasis...I eat healthy but my skin doesn't necessarily reflect that. I took slight offense to your statement about being able to tell if a person's nutrition is optimal or not. Check out NPF's forum on Facebook...a lot of us talk about diet...we constantly watch it. Just saying.......

You are absolutely right.  I should have said "in the absence of skin disease" to preface that statement because I agree with you!  I also think that the younger someone is the harder it is to tell.  Often a 20 year old can get away with eating pizza, coke and candy and still look great because their repair mechanisms are so active!    Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
