Are hydration masks worthwhile?

Hello Dr. I use all of the Skin Medica products but do you know of a hydration mask for normal/dry, I did not see any on that page. I also use some Eminece produts as well any suggestion ? :)

Some women love masks –  some masks are made with clays, others with more astringents, still others with humectants (moisturizers).   From a dermatologist’s point of view their effect is so temporary, one wonders if they are worth it.  The effects of a mask can be measured in hours – not days.  Recognizing that …… they have been around literally for CENTURIES!  The ritual of putting them on, knowing that we are caring for ourselves in good way, and that immediate effect of making our skin look better is helpful.

If you like them, it’s fine to use them just making sure the mask is compatible with your particular skin type.  A drying acne mask on already dry skin would not be good!  If you like the Eminence Organic Products and need hydration try the Pumpkin Latte or the Key Lime Vanilla Masks.    Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
