Bad results with filler? How do I fix this?
Generally, if your smile lines that run from the nose to the mouth are gone, she either put too much in or placed it poorly not respecting natural anatomical boundaries. Hyaluronidase (the enzyme that removes it), should be an option. So now what though? First, call or go back to the person who injected you and discuss it with her/him. If you are seeing an RN, you have every right to ask to see the doctor if there is a problem. If after you’ve discussed options for fixing your filler problem, you are not confident in the person/office, then leave and get a second opinion somewhere else.
If it’s any consolation, you are not alone and I think this problem is going to get worse before it gets better. This is because the companies making fillers have really focused on training RNs to inject in the U.S. because their physician market isn’t growing as much as they’d like. Sadly the “training” usually consists of several weekend sessions without much follow up or mentoring. Be careful please!
