Botox at age 25 – please stop!

Hi Dr. Irwin, I am sure you get this asked a lot but i wanted to share my own story and let you know what's happening with my botox. This is probably my third time getting injected in my forehead, first time the results were great. only 20 units as i am only 25 years old. Second time i asked to get a little bit of raise on the brows but she injected the middle of my forehead and all muscles are effected differently. I have big eyes and big space between my brows and eyes, so now i look super scary and weird. She also injected about 10 unit each right below my brows. Please help, its been 3 months already and i am seeing all these random changes. My face has completely changed and i am starting to look weird. My brows are also falling out, could this be the cause? Should i go back for more to fix it since its not wearing off? Please advise. Thank you

I’m glad you wrote because…………I’m hearing you on this and my advice would be to stop doing it at all!!!!    At 25, I’m guessing you don’t have a wrinkle on your face and you are naturally gorgeous, as most 25 y.0.s are.  Botox doesn’t make eyebrows fall out -so see your doctor for a thyroid check.

There’s no need to prevent anything at this point in your skin life except sun damage and acne!   It’s a very rare patient that we will treat with Botox under the age of 30.  Run the other way PLEASE.

For preventing sun damage at age 25, use a Vitamin C serum or gentle polyphenols after cleansing in the morning. Then a great zinc containing sunscreen.  At night, a good moisturizer and eye cream.    Acne needs different products.

Hope this helps,  Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
