For eye wrinkles, how long does it take for new collagen to form?

I have been using the tria eye wrinkle laser for about 2 weeks now. I was wondering with this technology if its possible to cause irreversible damage? How long does it take new collagen to form typically? Right now my wrinkles look much worse and I'm not sure if that's to be expected or if i'm actually causing deeper damage.

For ANY skin care product or treatment, including treating eye wrinkles, you really shouldn’t look worse.  So you may need to see your doctor for an explanation for that –  very mild irritant reaction or allergy???  Again, you may need medical help to figure this out.

A LOT of products claim to build collagen and don’t ……….or the collagen they build is so minimal, that there’s basically no difference to the human eye.  In general, to SEE an effect from ANY collagen building treatments, you need 60-120 days.  Younger cells respond faster  – so more on the lower end and vice versa.

Skin care products with collagen IN them, so far are essentially useless (for collagen building purposes) anyway because the molecule is too large to get where it needs to go and isn’t incorporated into your own collagen.

Once you are NOT irritated ……..never start a new skin care product in an area already irritated……. one may be better off going with a skin care product proven to build collagen over time.

Hope this helps,  Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
