I’m fit and 42. How can I get rid of this pregnancy tummy skin/fat?

Dear Dr I, I am a 42 year old mother of two. I work out every day and am my ideal body weight but I have really loose skin on my stomach. I really do not want to go down the route of tummy tuck. Is there any other alternative procedures available?

Two years ago I would have said that you can’t (without surgery).  But things are changing.   The CoolSculpting by Zeltiq which is a cold based fat spot therapy would be your best bet at this point in time.   Most people need 2-3 treatments to achieve their goals but you are the ideal type of patient.

Let’s not overlook the obvious also though –  the underlying ab muscles need to be toned also.  I’m going to assume you have a good trainer who isn’t having you do those horribly old fashioned crunches which build your abdominal wall muscles outward.  Training has really shifted to a longer, leaner abdomen  – more a Pilates approach  – so you are building the muscles concave not convex.      Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
