Is TNS Recovery Complex causing blocked pores?

Hello Dr. Irwin, I have been useing skin medica TNS Recovery complex for 2 years .Would the growth factors cause mila on my chin or make me clog pores...I do use revnova at night and had the mila extracted but it keeps comeing back.. I also wondered if skin medica dermal repair is to hydraing as well and casue there aggain to clog pores. Thank You

Hi Kara –

The TNS Recovery is in more of a serum base so it really shouldn’t clog your pores.  And, if you’re using the Renova all over – including your chin – that should help prevent the milia and clogged pores.  I’m wondering if you’re either just really, really oily or your moisturizer is too  thick. Look for moisturizers that say noncomedogenic or have a gel base like the SkinCeuticals B5 moisturizer.  Also, make sure you’re not spot treating with the Renova.  It’s better to use a thin layer all over at least 4 nights a week or more.   Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
