Reader feedback on specific dermatologists

On your list of recommended dermatologist is Dr. ________ from NY & Long Island. I went to him because he's conveniently close to me, however, he's the worst Dermatologist I've ever used. Not only was he and his staff pushy in getting me to get botox or fillers disregarding the purpose of my visit, but once he convinced me, he charged me over $1,200 for half a syringe of Juverderm filler which covered only half of my laugh lines. I was interested in thermage however after hearing it would cost over $5,000 I resorted to fillers. He and his staff are cunning con artist who take advantage of newbies like myself and you should take him out of your recommend list.

Dear Readers, Friends and Collegues.  I really appreciate feedback from all you on all sorts of topics from your dermatologists (both positive and negative), to various devices, procedures, skincare products, injectibles, etc.     And as you all know……..for every person who has a negative experience with someone or something, there is often a person with a positive experience that balances it.   That’s why single anecdotes can be so dangerous.  It’s  because they can create a very skewed  impression of something or someone when what we really need is 100 or 1000 experiences to accurately judge.

I do want you to know though, that if I hear consistently negative comments I will write about it or , in the case of a doctor, take that person out of the Regional or International Guide to Dermatologists on SkinTour

Hope this makes sense,  Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
