Swelling from Juvederm

using numbing cream, i had juvederm filler injected into my lips, 30 minutes later my lips swelled really bad.my practiononer gave me antihistamine, piriton afterwards.this morning, the swelling in my lips has gone down, the both sides of my face are now swollen. i have continued taking antihistamine as required, will the swelling eventually subside???

It’s hard to respond to this because I wasn’t there, but generally, that would be an unusual reaction for Juvederm.  Since it involved more of your face than just the areas injected, one possibility is that it is a reaction to the numbing cream itself.  Ask you doctor to test you to the numbing cream on your arm once this has all resolved.  Also, there are other hyaluronic acid fillers.  Is it possible it could have been one of those and not Juvederm?

As for the swelling, you should be seen every few days by your doctor or at least be in phone contact with her/him until it’s gone.  And, it should get slowly better each day, so if it doesn’t be sure to call your doctor, especially if you develop a fever or pain with the rash.   So yes, the swelling should resolve!

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
