When is the best time to have the Fraxel Restore?

What is the best time to have the first treatment for Fraxel 1550 Restore? I have an appointment to do my first treatment in late March but I am going on vacation to the Caribbeans in late May. I am Asian and am worried that going into the sun too much will lead to hyperpigmentation. Also, since the treatments are spaced out 4-8 weeks, my rest of my treatments will be in the summer-time.

These are all good questions to ask your doctor before your Fraxel laser treatment.  The answers to these depend on a lot of factors.  Questions your doctor may have could include the following.  Your age, your skin type (darker or lighter), and how much trouble you are currently having with pigment?  Is the pigment even or blotchy?  Are you on hormones? Do you have melasma?  What activities do you do outdoors on vacation?  What about summer – are you indoors or outdoors?   How religious are you about sunscreen and hats?  You get the idea – this really needs to be customized for you so it’s important this all be covered with your doctor.     Dr. I

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
