Which filler is best for treating the under eye area?
First of all, this area can be tricky and dangerous, experts only please!! Make sure your dermatologist, plastic surgeon or well supervised RN has been working a lot with fillers for at least 5 years before signing on with them. Take your time and do your research carefully.
Secondly, the answer to this depends partly on what your dermatologist is comfortable with and experienced with using. The fillers have slightly different properties and, in my opinion, Restylane fluctuates less and is more stable than Juvederm in this area. Vobella isn’t available yet in the U.S., so I can’t comment. Belotero is available in the U.S. and many injectors like the effect but it is more uncomfortable to you, the patient, because it doesn’t have numbing added to it.
I hope this helps, Dr. I
