Body Thermage – Does It Work?

Loose skin on the abdomen, upper arms, the thighs, over the glutes — most of us have some we’d like to tighten up.

Thermage and some centers have been promoting body Thermage for several years with, in my opinion, poor results. $3,000 – $3,500 is a lot to pay for little or no improvement. At that price, it better be quite good. The reason it wasn’t good? Thermage was trying to adapt tips (1.5-3.0 cm) originally developed for the face to the body. And, the treatments could be excruciatingly long and quite painful.

At last though, Thermage has a true body tip that looks promising. It’s a 16 cm tip specifically designed for the thicker skin on the body. I had my abdomen treated, and it’s mildly uncomfortable (I thought about 3 on a scale of 1-10 with a few spots more zingy). The treatments (depending on the size of the area) should take 1-2 hours. I can already see some tightening (none with the previous tips), and it will tighten more over the next 3-6 months.

Bottom line:  it’s worth considering now.  I’l keep you posted as we test it.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
