Which Vitamin C Skin Care Product Form or Preparation is Best?

So confusing!  There has been misinformation on the web recently regarding forms of vitamin C used for skin.
It IS true that the best form of Vitamin C for skin is L-ascorbic acid because it’s the most bioavailable form.  Other forms are often used in skin care products (usually palmitate) and are not quite as good.  Palmitate is a salt or ester of palmitic acid which is naturally occurring in plants, animals and humans.   We have a fairly high percentage of palmitic acid in our own fat.
Eating a lot of palmitic acid (but who would?)  may be adverse to cardiovascular health due to the fatty component.  There is absolutely no evidence that it causes cell death –  we’d all be dead!!
Based on my own use and that of many patients over the years, I still think the SkinCeuticals Vit C antioxidants are the best (not the cheapest, unfortunately): Phloretin CF Gel, C E Ferulic, and Serum 20 AOX+.

SkinTour Skincare
One of the best investments in your skin is your daily skincare. Why? Because you can prevent many problems with blotchy skin color, lack of glow, texture, some types of acne, and fine lines with good skincare products. You can also correct some of these problems with effective skincare products. Great skincare is often more expensive because quality ingredients are expensive. Some companies spend on research/development which benefits all of us and adds to the cost. Are they worth it? In general - yes! I have handpicked some of what I consider to be the best skin care products, and offer them for sale on SkinTour's shop. This is based on my team and I's testing and research at our clinic. Many of the products are in my own regimen. What could be better than using skin care products a dermatologist uses?!
